We have all been told how important suncare is in protecting your skin. Below I will share the reasons why suncare really is a necessity in shielding your skin from the effects of the sun. First, I will discuss the factors in what it takes to build the products that will ensure the right protection. PlusChem’s colleagues at S Goldmann in Germany are experts in Sunscreens, distributing for an Indian producer Vinner Labs. They know the right filters that it takes to build the best suncream. Filters such as octinoxate and oxybenzone can be found in different suncreams, which are now viewed as extremely critical. These filters especially cause allergic skin reactions or act as hormone like ingredients. On our market, these filters are reduced more and more or have disappeared completely. Here another generation of filters are used, most of them based on triazones. Our most successful filters are:

• bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine

• butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane

• diethylhexyl butamido triazone

• diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate

• ethylhexyl triazone

• phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid

Now that the filters in which we use have been discussed, PlusChem will share, below, multiple reasons why suncare is necessary in your everyday life. Many people believe that once there is cloud above, their skin will not be damaged as there is ‘no sun,’ this is not the case. UV is still present even when it is overcast, UV (Ultraviolet) is radiation which comes from the sun and can also come from ultraviolet lights. The higher the UV the more harmful damage will be caused to your skin. You can lower your risk of developing a skin disease by using a minimum of SPF 30 multiple times each day. SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is a measure of how much solar energy (UV radiation) is required to produce sunburn on protected skin. SPF 30 is the recommended factor, but you can use a higher SPF for more protection. Most cases of skin cancer are caused by radiation which comes from the sun. When your skin is exposed to the sun with no protection repeatedly it will cause harm, this will lead to wrinkles, a leathery appearance and can even result in hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is a condition where patches of skin become darker than your natural skin colour. Below are the main reasons in why suncare is most important:

• Reduces risk of skin cancer

• Reduces skin from swelling

• Prevents signs of aging

• Maintains even skin tone

• Prevents hyperpigmentation
